February Challenge

Well its started and since I decided to join in the fun I better start by posting my before pictures I always cringe when I see my own before photos but when I see others I see so many possibilities its cool.

So the challenge I’m doing is our office. Well truly its turned into our dumping room so here’s the before photos.

So this is the entry way into the office. Its a nice decent space we just don’t use it wisely and I must admit I don’t think we have ever since we moved in 5 years ago.

Hubby uses this room the most and then me and the girls use it to store things in it. So as its not a room I take pride in its become a bit of a dumping ground.

So that’s the mission to transform it into a room I’m happy with and will enjoy.

——————————————————————————————————————

So around the corner we have the kids keyboard and under it the storage area that is suppose to house all there craft stuff. It just doesn’t work. Next to it are plastic crates that house some of my crafting and sewing supplies again doesnt seem to work as I just dont go into them.

——————————————————————————————————————

The book case which has become the dumping ground of everything little. Also houses all my cook books and thanks to the mess surrounding the book case I just dont get to them. Plus this room is down the stairs and I dont tend to bother going to get them when ive the computer right next to me. So aim is to find a new home for the cook books and put the boxes above the bookcases in a better location. Also home all the little bits and pieces. Yes im going to need the whole month to do this task.

More plastic crates of my craft stuff and photo frames that need to be hung.

————————————————————————————————————

So another photo showing all the stuff that has been dumped next to the book case.

So thats my challenge to create a great home office space that allows easier access to my craft stuff and the kids arts and craft supplies. A bit of a mission but looking forward to it

Thanks Organizing Junkie for giving me some motivation to create a room I will be happy to retreat to and create.

  1. I can’t wait to see your progress. You seem to have some of the same things in your room as I do. Good luck!

Why is it that the office / craft space seems to become the most cluttered in the house? Thanks for stopping by my blog & good luck with your project. I’m looking forward to seeing your progress 🙂
